
Mr. Caldwell is a professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Construction Management. He has extensive experience in turnkey project management and pre-construction planning of multi-million dollar construction projects. With approximately $1 billion of work-in-place, Mr. Caldwell’s portfolio of projects includes heavy civil (highway and bridges), correctional, higher education, bio-tech, hospitality, mission critical and corporate services.
As Chief Executive Officer (CEO), he serves as a principal engineer, with emphasis on losses of large dollar values, unusual technical complications, hostile situations, or other problems involving building systems, components and materials, and site related issues.
As CEO, he is responsible for the overall strategy, vision and major decisions of RFE, and directs all engineering and technical services of the firm. As a principal engineer, he is responsible for all phases of investigation, engineering analysis and evaluation of building damages from fire, storm (wind, rain, snow and ice), blasting and vibration, earthquake, vehicle impact, earth movement, and design/construction defects. He performs causation analysis, damage evaluations, separation of damages, repair/replacement cost analysis, and technical support and expert witness services for litigation and alternate dispute resolution.
